The working environment of the heat exchanger (condenser) on the wind side of the chiller (hot) water unit has a great impact on the performance of the whole machine. Attention should generally be paid to the arrangement:
1. The air flow out and back must not be short-circuited;
2. The air out and back must not interfere with each other.
The main reason for airflow short-circuiting is: the air outlet is covered. Statistics show that in the configuration of the air volume of 200m3/h per unit of cold volume (kW), the jet length reaches about 14m. If the unit is placed indoors, the distance between the incoming and outgoing air outlets is short, and the flow rate ratio of the incoming and outgoing air is inappropriate, resulting in the exhaust air being inhaled from the incoming air outlet.
Therefore, when the water chiller/heat pump unit is installed in position, the upper part of the unit should better be in the open air and free of cover, and the unit should also keep a certain distance from the surrounding obstructions, generally more than 2m.
