Control System

Protection Device

The Water-Cooled Screw Chiller is equipped with several advanced protection devices to assure the unit can run smoothly.

  • 1. Motor missing item protection: Protection against reverse compressor operation and missing items.
  • 2. Oil heaters: Heating of the lubricating oil in the tank when the compressor is not in operation to avoid lubricating oil foaming during start-up.
  • 3. Motor overheating protection: Stops compressor operation when the compressor temperature is greater than the maximum permissible temperature of the compressor machine.
  • 4. Discharge Temperature Overheat Protection: Prevents the compressor from overheating the discharge temperature.
  • 5. High and low differential pressure switches: When the discharge pressure is higher than the set value, or the return pressure is lower than the set value, the high and low differential pressure switches can stop the compressor.
  • 6. Safety valve: This valve is installed on the condenser, when the exhaust pressure or condensing pressure is higher than the preset value of the valve, the safety valve will open and discharge part of the refrigerant to ensure the safety of the unit operation.
  • 7. Anti-freeze switch: Prevents evaporator and condenser steaming.
  • 8. Overload protection: When the current of the external power supply fluctuates or the current in the circuit exceeds the set value, the thermal relay acts to stop the compressor.
  • 9. Water pump and water flow switch chain control, the electric control box for empty households reserved water pump and water flow switch chain contact, the user only need to connect the control line according to the circuit diagram.
