2. What is the difference between air cooled and water cooled chillers?

An air cooled chiller rejects heat to outdoor air through condenser fans. It does not require a cooling tower, cooling water pump or complicated cooling water system. It is simple to install and especially suitable for water-scarce areas.

A water cooled chiller rejects heat through cooling water and usually works with a cooling tower. It can achieve higher energy efficiency in many projects, especially large-capacity systems, but requires more water-side equipment and regular water treatment.

3. What is the difference between scroll chiller and screw chiller?

A scroll chiller is usually compact, low noise, easy to operate and suitable for small to medium cooling capacity. It is commonly used in light commercial HVAC and industrial process cooling.

A screw chiller uses screw compressors and is better suited for medium to large cooling capacity, continuous operation and applications requiring capacity regulation.
