A Cabinet Air Conditioner is also commonly called a panel cooler, enclosure air conditioner, or electrical cabinet cooling unit. Its purpose is simple but critical: it removes heat from sealed electrical cabinets while keeping outside dust, oil mist, humid air, and corrosive pollutants away from sensitive electronics. For PLCs, servo drives, inverters, switch controls, CNC controllers, telecom equipment, and precision instruments, this difference is not minor. It directly affects uptime, reliability, and service life.

Traditional cooling methods such as exhaust fans or natural ventilation are often no longer enough. Modern electrical cabinets contain compact, high-density electronic components that generate significant heat. At the same time, factory air may contain dust, fibers, oil vapor, or moisture. If you simply ventilate the cabinet with outside air, you may reduce heat only temporarily while introducing the very contaminants that damage electronics.
That is why HISURP focuses on cooling + dust protection + dehumidification in one compact solution.
HISURP uses the phase-change refrigeration principle. The compressor discharges high-temperature, high-pressure refrigerant gas into the condenser, where it is cooled into liquid refrigerant. After throttling, the refrigerant enters the evaporator and absorbs heat from the hot air inside the electrical cabinet. The refrigerant then evaporates back into gas and returns to the compressor, repeating the cycle continuously.
Users can set the working temperature inside the electrical cabinet according to actual application needs. The standard temperature adjustment range is +20°C to +38°C. Depending on model and project requirement, mechanical control or microcomputer control with LED display can be applied.
Many electrical failures are caused not only by heat, but by the combination of heat and moisture. HISURP units provide dehumidifying cooling, helping maintain more suitable humidity and temperature inside the cabinet and reducing the risk of condensation and corrosion.
A properly matched Wall Mounted Cabinet Air Conditioner or Top Mounted Cabinet Air Conditioner works with a sealed electrical enclosure so the inside air remains isolated from workshop dust, fibers, oil mist, and airborne particles.
The unit uses a high-quality external rotor centrifugal fan with compact structure, large airflow, high static pressure, low vibration, and low noise. This helps cool the cabinet quickly and reduce hot spots around PLCs, VFDs, servo drives, and power modules.
HISURP uses a fully enclosed rotary compressor with high energy efficiency and low power consumption. With vibration-reduction measures built in, the unit runs smoothly and quietly, which is valuable in precision control environments.
The heat exchanger adopts internally threaded copper tubing with aluminum fins, improving heat transfer performance and system EER while supporting stable long-term operation.
A primary filter on the condenser side helps prevent dust, oil, and debris from entering and affecting the heat exchanger or fan, improving overall system stability and extending service life.
The cold air outlet is equipped with a deflector so the discharge direction can be adjusted, helping optimize airflow distribution and making cabinet temperature more uniform.
The unit is compact, light, easy to mount, and convenient to service. After installation and power connection, it can operate without complicated commissioning in most standard applications.
This is one of the most important buyer questions, and it directly impacts installation efficiency and airflow performance.
A Wall Mounted Cabinet Air Conditioner is installed on the side wall of the electrical enclosure. It is the most widely used format because it is easy to access for maintenance and suitable for many general-purpose control cabinets.

A Top Mounted Cabinet Air Conditioner is installed on the top of the cabinet and is especially useful when side space is limited or side doors must remain clear.

Calculate the total heat released by drives, PLCs, power supplies, transformers, relays, and other electronics.Undersizing leads to poor cooling; oversizing may increase cost and raise condensation risk.
A Cabinet Air Conditioner works best with a relatively sealed enclosure. Air leakage reduces cooling efficiency and may allow humid or dusty air to enter.
If the site is hot, dusty, oily, humid, or corrosive, a sealed refrigeration solution is much more suitable than fan ventilation.
Decide early whether your project needs a Top Mounted or a Wall Mounted one, based on cabinet design and maintenance access.
If there is no drain piping, consider a model with water tank. If the project needs more precise display and control, ask for microcomputer control and LED display options.
1. Calculate the surface area A = 2 × (length × height + width × height + length × width) to determine the cabinet's surface area.
2. Calculate the temperature difference ΔT = external temperature minus target internal temperature to determine the internal-external temperature differential.
3. Calculate the heat transfer through the box wall: Qs = 5.5 × A × ΔT, yielding the heat transfer rate.
4. Air conditioning cooling capacity Qo = 1.2 × (Qs + internal heat generation Qi), determining the required cooling capacity.
