What Is a DX Air Handler Unit?

A DX AHU is an air handling unit that uses direct expansion refrigerant coils instead of chilled water coils. Refrigerant evaporates directly inside the cooling coil to absorb heat from the passing air. This type of AHU is commonly used in systems that require:
