Example

There is an electrical cabinet box made of ordinary steel plate material with the external dimensions of 1 m long, 2 m high and 0.5 m thick. The heat generated by the internal heating elements of the box is 400 W. The temperature to be controlled inside the box is 30°C and the average temperature outside the box is 40°C. How much cooling capacity should be selected for the electric cabinet air conditioner?

Calculation

1.A=2x1x2+2x0.5x2+0.5x1=6.5㎡
2.ΔT=T0-T1=40-30=10℃
3.Qs=K x A x ΔT=5.5x6.5x10=357.5W
4.Q0=1.2 x (Qs+Qi)=1.2x(357.3+400)=909W
