EVI Air Cooled Heat Pump

Hisurp EVI Air Cooled Heat Pump is a high-performance unit, with high quality, that adopts enhanced vapor injection (EVI) technology based on traditional air-cooled chiller/heat pumps. It is particularly suitable for projects with high heating capacity requirements in low-temperature environments (such as northern regions, cold climates, or process heating scenarios).

What is EVI

EVI (enhanced vapor injection) for EVI Air Cooled Heat Pump is a technology that improves compressor performance through intermediate gas injection (electro-injection). Its core principle is:

  • During the compressor compression process, a portion of refrigerant vapor, processed by an intermediate heat exchanger, is introduced;
  • This increases the compressor's discharge mass flow rate and enthalpy;
  • thereby significantly improving low-temperature heating capacity and system efficiency.

How does EVI Air Cooled Heat Pump work

During heating operation of durable EVI Air Cooled Heat Pump, the refrigerant circulation route is: compressor 1 → four-way valve 2 → shell and tube heat exchanger 9 → check valve 4B → high pressure liquid reservoir 5 → dry filter 6 → electronic expansion valve 7 → check valve 4C → air side heat exchanger 3 → four-way valve 2 → gas-liquid separator 9 → compressor 1

The jet enthalpy increase circuit is: Plate heat exchanger outlet → enthalpy increase electronic expansion valve → plate heat exchanger → shock absorber → compressor

Preparation before Installation

1. When transported to the installation site, EVI Air Cooled Heat Pump shall be carefully checked according to the packing list for all items. If any damage or missing parts, it shall be immediately informed to the Hisurp factory.
2. The user shall provide a non-deformable rigid foundation or concrete base. The foundation should be flat and able to bear the weight of the EVI Air Cooled Heat Pump itself: for the whole unit, it can be directly placed on the load-bearing beam according to the drawing (see attached I).
3. The EVI Air Cooled Heat Pump can be placed in a well-ventilated place, such as the roof, balcony or any convenient installation occasions near air conditioning places. There should be enough ventilation space around the unit, and there should be no less than 1.5 meters of space around the front and back, left and right of the unit. There should be no obstructions affecting the air flow blowing out within 5 meters of the air outlet. The distance between the unit and the air inlet surface of the unit shall not be less than 3 meters to prevent the mutual interference of each unit and affect normal performance of the unit ( see attached II ) .
4. The connecting pipes of the EVI Air Cooled Heat Pump and the unit itself should be prepared according to the local HVAC standards.
